Pakistan State Oil Company Ltd, the largest oil marketing company of Pakistan, has appointed Imran Rana as their deputy general manager - corporate communications. Imran will look after all aspects of internal and external communications in his new role.
He brings 14+ years of diverse experience in leading the brand communications, media management, social media marketing, public relations, lobbying and image marketing to The Pakistan State Oil Co Ltd. Prior to joining the PSO, Imran has worked as Head of Corporate Communications with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office based in the British High Commission Islamabad since 2011. Imran has also worked with Fortune 500 Blue Chips in his prior experience. He has headed the public relations function of Motorola in Pakistan between 2007 and 2010. He has also worked as part of public affairs and communications team of The Coca-Cola Export Corporation, Pakistan branch of The Coca-Cola Company, from 2002 to 2007. Imran is also vice president of the Council of Public Relations Pakistan, an association of 1000 plus industry professionals in Pakistan.
